Our Groceries
Grocery shopping is a daunting task in our family. It always seems we are in need of something and regularly forgetting things we had planned on getting. I researched several different shopping list apps (Out of Milk, Shopi, Grocery Smart) but the one that worked best for us was Our Groceries. The main feature that we like most about this app is that syncs between phones. This means I can add items while my hubby is at the store, or I can remove items as I shop. You can also create several different lists. We currently have lists for groceries, Home Depot, upcoming birthday presents, etc. It makes shopping much quicker and we end up sticking to our list, therefor spending less!
Grocery Gagit
This App is very similar to the Our Groceries App in that you can share your lists between different devices as well as create several different shopping lists for different stores. The main difference with this app is that it also compares sale prices across stores to give you the best prices for items you will be shopping for so, if you are a bargain hunter, this app might work better for your family. However, this App does costs $3.99
RetailMeNot.com
Clipping coupons from newspapers is way too time consuming for this mom! This site makes coupon clipping much quicker and a lot more organized. You can search for coupons for specific items on your shopping list and print only the ones you want. There are also coupons for online stores that you can use at checkout. The best thing about this site is that there is no sign up necessary!
RedLaser
If you are a price tag conscious shopper, this app is for you! You can scan the bar code of any item and it will list online prices of the item as well as prices at local stores! Bargain hunting was never so easy!!
Emeals
Emeals is for the mom who needs a little help with meal planning. The EMeals App creates several meal plans with grocery lists every week for you to choose from. The lists fit many different food preferences and are created based on sales at local grocery stores. If someone in your family has a gluten allergy, is vegetarian or you want your ingredients to be all organic, they have several options for these diet specific meals as well. Take a look and make meal planing a breeze!
Manilla
Manilla is a great App that helps to keep household bills, subscriptions, travel rewards, daily deals and more all in one place. It has great notifications via email and text messages to keep you informed when to pay bills or when automatic payments go out. This App does all of the hard work for you and keeps you in the know!
Bank of Mom
Bank of Mom is a great App I can't wait to try with my daughter! It is a virtual bank account tracker for your children! It is a great way to teach the concept of money and the importance of saving. It also has a great organizer for your child's activities One feature I'll start using right away is the screen time tracker! This is an App that is user friendly enough that she can also use it to view her "spending" and scheduled activities.
Picksie
If you are always on the lookout for family-fun activities, Picksie can help! This Free App helps you find activities that are going on in your area. It also has features such as ticket purchasing and reviews of events, restaurants and other local attractions. It does a great job making recommendations of activities based on your preferences and previous history. This will be a go to App for my family this summer to keep busy and to research activities for family vacations!
Dragon Dictation
Guilty of texting and driving, or do you often feel you need an extra hand to send out a quick email? Dragon Diction uses voice recognition to type out emails, status updates, text messages, lists, etc. This is a wonderful App for mommies who never have both hands free!!
Nike Training Club
Can’t ever find time to do those work outs you’ve been meaning to do? Nike Training Club has over 80 custom-built workouts for you to choose from. It also has great video and audio instruction to help guide you through your work out! Who needs a personal trainer with you have your smart phone?
Pedometer
You already have your phone on you all day long, why not make it useful even when you aren't on it? Measure the distance you walk each day as well as how many calories you've burned. If you're day has been too busy to squeeze in that workout, perhaps you've gotten plenty of physical activity already just running around town.
Cozi
If you’re looking for an all in one, this is your App! Cozi is a great app for families and especially for families with older children. Cozi has a great calendar, to do list, Shopping list and Journal. The calendar has great birthday reminders and the to do list has a great feature where you can assign people to specific tasks. It will also send automatic email reminders and notifications when things are coming up or complete so you can keep your entire family organized and on task!
Kid Mode
No more worrying your child will delete something important on your phone or call your boss while playing angry birds! Kid Mode is a great App that puts specific kid locks on your phone but still allows them to play their favorite games! It also gets rid of all of those annoying ad clicks, so your kids don't accidentally click out of their App they are using.
Primrose has a new mobile App!! We can't wait to roll out this new App to current and prospective parents! It has play and learn activities with Adventures with Benjamin for the kids and cool parenting tips for parents! It also has a find a school feature and the best part about the App, My school.
