There is an outpouring of helping hands, thoughts, prayers and love heading towards Newtown, Ct. This story has been a part of all of our daily thoughts and many are searching for ways to help so that all may heal.
One particular way seams to be spreading rapidly. Ann Curry from NBC has put out a challenge to many. Asking children and adults alike to heal during this time of sorrow by participating in 26 random acts of kindness in memory of each of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting. I've already heard of several people participating; paying off random strangers layaway, leaving treats on a neighbors porch, paying for a fellow travelers gas. Even the small jesters of kindness are being passed around; holding doors for one another, helping someone with their groceries or even just a great big smile. All of this done with only the hope of others passing on the same kindness to others. It seems quite the appropriate response to honor the memory of the beautiful soles that were lost that fateful day. So, today in honor of one of those little lives, I'll be paying it forward with my own random acts of kindness. How are you going to pay it forward?
