Friday Home Fun- United in Orange!

While we all unite in orange this Saturday to cheer on our beloved Denver Broncos, here are some fun crafts to keep the kids entertained as well as some yummy themed snacks for everyone to enjoy!
                                    GO BRONCOS!!

Bronco Cheerleader Pom- Poms

Become part of the squad by making your own set of blue and orange pom-poms!

Items Needed:
Empty toilet paper roll
Large sheets of Orange and Blue Tissue paper
Blue and Orange Construction Paper
Glue
Scissors
Stapler

Glue the orange and blue construction paper to the empty toilet paper roll. You can do this in any design you wish to create a stylish handle to your pom-pom. Next fold the orange and blue tissue paper in half lengthwise and fold in half again width-wise. Cut the folded tissue paper in thin strips. Keeping the strips folded, create the pom-pom by holding the folded sides of the strips in your hand as you stuff them into the handle. Remember to keep the long strands hanging out of the end of the handle to make a full pom-pom. Close the end of the handle by stapling across the opening where the tissue paper is. This will help to secure the tissue paper to the handle. Now you can cheer right alongside the cheerleaders and get our Broncos a V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!!

Football Chocolate Strawberries

Ingredients:
Strawberries
1 ½ C Chocolate Chips
¼ C White Chocolate Chips

In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips. Spread out a piece of parchment paper to place the strawberries on to cool. Mini Football Pizzas

Pita Bread
Marinara Sauce
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (or cheese of choice)
Sliced Mozzarella cheese
Favorite Toppings (pepperoni, sausage, tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, etc.)

Using a knife or kitchen scissors, cut the pita bread into football shapes.  Have each person create their own pizza by first spreading marinara sauce on the pita bread and sprinkling with cheese.
